The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it is alarmed about the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The services place produced for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all prospects and boost sassa status entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
